The Diamond Knot, one of the best wrecks in the Pacific Northwest, was sunk in 130 feet of water near Crescent Bay, Washington on August 13, 1947 as a result of a collision. She carried a multi - million dollar cargo of canned salmon (over seven million cans), sorely needed to help feed a devastated Europe, struggling to recover from World War II. After a massive and dramatic salvage effort to recover her cargo, the Diamond Knot was all but forgotten, left to the ravages of time and the harsh, unrelenting currents of the Straits of Juan de Fuca. Until now... Directed by James Novaes and produced by GO-FISH-FILMS To purchase your copy of "The Wreck of the Diamond Knot, The Expedition Documentary" please click below |
